Hardcore Mode is a popular gameplay mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, with increased difficulty and challenges. However, fans were a little disappointed when Infinity Ward chose to withhold the release of Hardcore Mode, now renamed as Tier 1.
Hardcore Mode(Tier 1) will be released alongside the Battle Pass as part of Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on November 16.
Hardcore Mode or Tier 1 is a strategic gameplay mode with lesser HUD elements, friendly fire enabled and reduced players’ health. It is basically a more difficult version of the multiplayer playlists in Call of Duty. Many fans have even admitted to only playing this mode in the game.
A Tier 1 Playlist is designated within a Playlist’s name and offers a more challenging experience compared to traditional Multiplayer. Operators have less health and limited HUD elements, and friendly fire is on. These elements are consistent in all game modes that support the Tier 1 variant.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, which will be free-to-play for all, will also go live on November 16. The battle royale game will introduce a new extraction mode called DMZ, a new Multi-Circle closure, water combat, a new gulag, and many more new twists.
