The ninth episode of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury was one of the more entertaining ones of this season. Marine and team win against Shaddiq in an epic duel, and we also see Suletta and Aerial working together at maximum power.
It is incredible how Suletta becomes stronger in every episode. Even though she is shy and reserved, she is fully confident when it comes to Aerial. We also see a hint of Miorine’s and Shaddiq’s feelings for each other and what could have been between them. Here are the latest updates.
Episode 10 Speculation
Episode 10 will be titled “Circular Thoughts”. Now that Miorine can proceed with the company, it will be allowed to use Gundams. Her company is also gaining popularity because of the streamed duel, so it is highly likely to succeed.
We could also see Guel struggling not to get expelled from the school, and I feel that Suletta could try to help him somehow. We may also see more of Prospera’s plans.

Episode 9 Recap
In a flashback, Guel defends his title and engagement to Miorine while recording his seventh victory as Holder. After an unsuccessful attempt to escape to Earth, Miorine complains about her circumstances in her greenhouse as Shaddiq watches from the outside.
She expresses her desire to marry someone outside the Benerit Group and seems appreciative of his assurance that he is different from those battling over her as a prize and that he has no interest in challenging Guel for the title.
To rescue the corporation, Shaddiq tries to persuade Miorine to sign Gund-Arm over to him. Still, Miorine concludes that he amended the regulations to push the issue and chooses to challenge him to a duel instead.
A 6 against 6 team match format for the duel has been decided upon; if Miorine prevails, the modification to the school’s rules will be undone, and if Shaddiq triumphs, he will take control of Gund-Arm.
In addition, Miorine requires to broadcast the duel in public. When Guel hears that his father has barred him from dueling, he declines Suletta’s request for assistance and subsequently learns that he will be expelled.
Miorine is forced to field ChuChu and a few novice Earth House members as Suletta’s allies on the day of the duel. The Earth House pilots are immediately destroyed while Shaddiq’s team disables Aerial’s GUND Format with anti-Gundam weapons.
Suletta releases Aerial’s potential to defend Miorine and her friends and reveals that it is resistant to anti-Gundam weapons. Suletta can eliminate Shaddiq’s team and divert him long enough for ChuChu to snipe the head of his mobile suit, giving Earth House the advantage and ending the duel.
Gund-fame Arm’s soars as a result of the combat being webcast. Shaddiq later muses whether his efforts to woo Miorine as his bride would have made a difference, but she angrily retorts that his regret is “too little, too late.”

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury (Kidō Senshi Gundam: Suisei no Majo) is an upcoming mecha anime series and the fifteenth mainline entry in Sunrise’s long-running Gundam franchise, succeeding Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. It will premiere in October 2022.
