Mob became popular in episode 3 of Mob Psycho 100 season 4, titled “Getting Carried Away~100%~.”

Mob acted weird the whole episode. He presumed that he was getting popular. However, that was far from the truth. He got trapped between Tome and Mezato, but at the end of the day, none of them showed up, destroying Kageyama’s fantasy.

The Psycho Helmet religious group is getting bigger every day with many members. However, things have taken a strange turn as someone who claims to be the founder of the divine tree has shown up.

Reigen will try to destroy the religious group in episode 4 of Mob Psycho 100 season 4, titled “Divine Tree 1~The Founder Appears~.”

Reigen doesn’t like the growth of Psycho Helmet. While previously he saw it as a business opportunity, now he is looking at it as a threat to his company. He will not let the so-called religious group do that to him.

The new guy who has disguised himself as a cheap knock-off of Mob is probably DImple, as he is someone who has gained powers from the Broccoli. There are other possibilities, but for now, let us just sit back and wait for the next episode.

Episode 3 Recap

Tsubomi’s friends ask her to go to karaoke with them, but she refuses. Suddenly she sneezes so hard that her snot gets spread everywhere. She covers her face, but her friends get curious to see what she is hiding.

Mob shows up, telling the two girls that the teacher is calling them, and offers Tsubomi some tissues. Tsubomi uses them and says goodbye. However, listening to “see you later” from Tsubomi’s mouth leaves Mob excited.

Later, Mob meets Mezato, inviting him to Psycho Helmet Religion’s huge gathering on Sunday. Tome shows up, reminding Mob about going out to find telepathists on Sunday. Emi comes up to tease Mob for getting popular.

Mob also realizes that he has talked with many girls that day. Mob starts imagining things, thinking that girls around are talking about him. Mob has now reached 100%, high horse 100%.

The huge broccoli has been turned into a symbol of some God. Mezato calls Mob and tries to convince him to come up front and claim the divine tree. She tells him that even Tsubomi will be attracted to him if he does that. When he starts to get invested, Dimple shows up.

Dimple also tries to convince Mob about the religion’s leader audition. Mob doesn’t show any interest. He asks Dimple what he will get from all this and tells him to rest now. Dimple leaves the house.

Reigen tells Mob and Serizawa about some kind of supernatural phenomenon that is deteriorating buildings all around. He is not interested in the job but is interested in what’s going on in Mob’s life.

Mob tells Reigen about getting popular. He then tells him about the religious gathering. When Reigen hears about how they want Mob to be their founder, he sees a business opportunity in it. Reigen gives Mob some money to buy some new clothes for himself.

Mob meets Hanazawa while out shopping. Hanazawa agrees to help Mob. After much effort, they finally find suitable cloth for Mob. The t-shirt Mob is wearing has monkeys drawn on it. He goes out and waits for Tome, but she is late.

Mob has started to wait for Mezato as even Mezato hasn’t told him where everyone would gather. Someone else at the place of Mob shows up, claiming to be the religion’s founder. He also claims that he founded the divine tree.

No one believes him, but he grows a similar tree on the stage, leaving everyone shocked.
