Here we are, Mob Psycho 100 kicked off with a great episode, but things will just get even more exciting from here and on. The episode was a good start with a great opening by the Mob Choir and the same animation style, it doesn’t even feel like a new season.

Mob tries to find his purpose in life, but it seems like that thing will still take some time. We still got some psychic action. Reigen has a new employee Serizawa who is great at his job. A new danger is brewing up in the back as well.

Episode 2 Speculations

Amakusa Haruaki will make his first appearance in episode 2 of Mob Psycho 100 season 3, titled “Yokai Hunter Amakusa Haruaki Appears! The Threat of a Hundred Demons.

We have a new character showing up next week, and as I said earlier, new threats will show up. The new character seems to be a different breed from psychics, but looking at the preview, he might become friends with our protagonists.

It’s also time for the culture festival at Mob’s school. We can expect more fun stuff to happen there. The season is already on the flight to greatness.

Episode 1 Recap

Mob shows his empty career path survey sheet to the Telepathy club. Each of them has different aspirations and wants to go to different universities. Mameta Inukawa tells Mob that Takane will go to Yuzu Pepper High School. Mob is happy for her. He takes his sheet to Reigen.

Reigen tells him that his future is secure as he will be working in the agency in the future as well. Mob still considers it a part-time job, but Reigen tries to manipulate him into taking up the job.

Mob asks Reigen why he opened the agency. Serizawa shows up after cleaning the bathrooms. Reigen tells him that the new client might show up anytime now, so he needs to look carefully into how the work is done.

The client shows up with a small stone figure. The figure has caused him all sorts of trouble. Reigen examines it, but Mob tells him to stay away from the figure.

Reigen tells Serizawa to exorcise the figure. He successfully does the same. However, in the process, Serizawa breaks one arm of the figure. Reigen connects the broken arm with some rice grains, gaining more respect from Serizawa.

Mob tries to consult his family, but that doesn’t help either. He asks the body improvement club and their answers range from working at the family’s farm to becoming a vet.

Onigawara wants to become a manga artist, but he wants to keep everything a secret. Mob stands on the roof when Mezato shows up, talking about the terrorist attack and the huge broccoli. People have started calling it a divine tree. Many have started worshipping it as well.

She wants Mob to tell everyone that he created that tree. She is excited about Mob’s powers, but Mob asks her about her ambition. She wants to become a photographer or maybe a journalist.

Mob, Reigen, and Serizawa visit a man who claims to be possessed by an evil spirit. He blames the evil spirit for all his mishappenings and bad luck. Reigen freaked out by all the roaches in his house, which is full of garbage. He walks out, leaving the man to Mob and Serizawa.

Both of them start relating to the old man’s problems. An evil spirit cloud rises from the man’s house, and everyone around the town falls asleep. The cloud surrounds Reigen. He tries to get rid of it with his special Hydrogen Water Mist technique.

Reigen returns to his house and shows the evil spirit to Serizawa and Mob. They both exorcise the spirit. After leaving the place, Serizawa gets anxious that he has wasted thirty years of his life. Mob has also been affected by the man’s words.

At the end of it all, he decided to continue his high school studies. The teacher advises him to take his time but to hurry up as it might create trouble in the future. Mob apologizes to Reigen and tells him that he can’t work with him forever. Reigen doesn’t have a problem with that and wants Mob to live any way he wants to.
