Mob’s journey finally comes to a close in episode 12 of Mob Psycho 100 season 3, titled “Confession~The Future~”.

It was a heartfelt episode which Reigen carried. He truly shined in this episode, and just as expected from him, he brought Mob back to normal. Although the way Mob was brought to normal was pretty unsatisfying.

Mob still got rejected by Tsubomi; this way, this anime showed us that the protagonist might not always get a girlfriend. It was rather strange to see Mob not facing any consequence of destroying the whole city. Everything just went back to normal, as if it had never happened.

We won’t be getting any new episodes of Mob Psycho 100 as the anime has finished. We might get some spin-offs and special episodes of side characters or Mob’s graduation, but no new episode will be added to the main series, as we know.

Episode 12 Recap

Tsubomi decides to stay back and wait for Mob despite the storm approaching her. Reigen tells Serizawa to return, and he heads towards Mob alone as Serizawa’s power begins fading as they go near the storm.

Mob’s alter ego tells Mob that he was the one who fell in love with Tsubomi as she treated him equally. As Reigen approaches Mob, the alter ego completely controls the body.

Reigen gets injured but still moves ahead as he has something to tell Mob. He gets hurt continuously in his quest towards Mob, but he, too, is working out, so he endures it. However, he fails to reach Mob just by some inch. He tells Mob to listen to him for once, but Mob keeps walking.

Reigen comes before him and shocks Mob by stopping him from using his powers. Dimple shows himself, who is still alive, thanks to Mob’s belief in him. Reigen tells Dimple to leave his body for a minute as he has something to say to Mob.

He tells Mob that he has been lying all this time and doesn’t possess any power. He has been using him all this time. However, Mob now doesn’t need Reigen, as he can stand alone.

He just has to accept himself as everyone else did. Mob calms down and returns to normal. The alter ego and real Mob shake hands, and he heads to the park.

He returns with his flower still in his hand as she rejects him. Reigen consoles him, and they head back. Sometime later, Mob is now the vice president of the body improvement club.

Everything is going well. Ritsu and Mob meet Teru along the way, and together, they head to Reigen’s office, where Tome has also started to work. Shou and other old characters join them, like the Shiratori brothers, their previous teammates, and Tome’s club members.

Mob still talks to Tsubomi, and it is revealed that they have started to talk regularly after that day.

When Reigen returns from some work, they all surprise him with a birthday party. Reigen is quite overwhelmed by the celebration. Mob and his friends laugh and play as the series ends.
