Anime fans can be found on literally every part of the Earth. We all lie in wait for the perfect moment to talk about the anime we love. Our love for anime is endless, and we don’t shy away from showing it to the world.
So what happens when a politically famous person misunderstands anime?
We all stand together and make the anime in question go viral. Or at least that’s what happened!
Mob Psycho 100, the popular manga/anime, was suddenly spotted trending on social media sites worldwide on 8th September.
What exactly was the reason, even though the manga had ended in 2017 and the anime had ended in 2019?
The fiasco started when Eric Trump tweeted a screenshot of Google results for the word “mob.” Due to the popularity of the anime, Google showed results of Mob Psycho 100 instead of angry crowd gatherings.
Anime fans are utterly amused by how the simple popularity of Mob Psycho 100 is being implied as some kind of conspiracy theory.
Most of us weebs would actually prefer an anime invasion, but that’s a topic for another day.
What follows is a whole barrage of people thinking that Google is in on a conspiracy theory. At the same time, anime fans are trying their hardest to convince them otherwise.
The cherry on top was, of course, when the Mob Psycho 100 creators were aware of what was happening.
Mob seems to be buzzing around the world…!
(For whatever reason) Thank you Mob Psycho and Mob for the future…!

The official Twitter of Mob Psycho 100 actively tweeted a thankful response for making the anime trending again.
At the same time, a screenshot from the anime was uploaded with a hilarious caption: “Look master! I think I’m finally popular…!”.
The cute tweet made fans laugh out loud as well as nostalgic about the anime. If you still don’t know what Mob Psycho is, then give it a watch on Crunchyroll.
