Last, we saw Elma try to take some stress off of Kobyashi’s shoulders. Tohru helped the town with patrolling the area for any suspicious activity. Kobayashi took Tohru and the others to an amusement park.
In episode 5, Tohru and Elma explained their past to Kobayashi. Although they didn’t want to admit it, they have always been close and looked out for each other in their own ways. Illulu decided to be productive and took up a part-time job.

Episode 6 Speculations and Discussions
Episode 6 is titled “Uncanny Relationships (One Side Is a Dragon).”
Since there are Dragons blended in with humans in almost every place, it has become very common for Dragons to have good relations with particular humans who know their secrets.
We will get to have a deeper look at the day-to-day interactions between our different Dragons and their friends.
It’s almost like how Tohru, Kanna, and Illulu have a mutually cooperative relationship with Kobayashi, and I’m sure it is the same for the other dragons who live with different humans.

No, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is not on break this week. Episode 6 is set to air as scheduled. No delay has been announced.
Recap of Episode 5
Episode 5, titled “Together With You (Well, If We Get Along),” starts with Tohru and Elma pretending to be at each other’s necks as they are natural enemies.
Kobayashi is curious and asks them how they would be amicable if they tried killing each other from the first time they met. Elma and Tohru explain their past, telling her how they weren’t at each other’s throats when they first met.
Even though they were natural enemies, they agreed and decided to explore the human world, trying to broaden their perspective. The secondary reason was that they both enjoyed experiencing human culture. So they started traveling together.
Eventually, they got to a point where their mindsets did not align, so they fought it out. After that, Elma went back to the Harmony faction, and Tohru went her way, which now brings them here.
After hearing their past, Kobayashi blatantly calls them out for being really good friends and caring for each other. Meanwhile, Tohru guilt trips Illulu for lazing around all the time, making her decide to get productive.
Illulu goes with Tohru to find herself a part-time job. She realizes that she cannot do a regular job like selling meat or flowers, which goes against her nature. She then stumbles upon her friends who are going to a particular spot to play. The place is an Arcade and Candy store run by an older woman.
Upon seeing that this fits her comfort zone, Illulu asks if she can work at the store. Since the older woman has injured her leg, she agrees. She informs her that her grandson, Take, will teach her the ways of the store.
The episode ends with Take helping Illulu out regarding taking care of the store and simultaneously teaches her how to have fun.

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is a Slice of life, fantasy, comedy manga written and illustrated by Cool-Kyou Shinja. The manga began serialization in Monthly Action magazine from May 25, 2013.
It revolves around Kobayashi, a stoic programmer. While on her way to work, Kobayashi gets frightened after seeing the head of a dragon. Staring at her, the dragon immediately transforms into a young girl dressed in a maid outfit.
Introducing herself as Tooru, she reminds Kobayashi of her offer to stay in her home while she was drunk the previous night. Regretting her decision, she agrees to Tooru’s request to work as a personal maidservant to repay the debt for a shelter.
