Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid season 2 episode 4, titled “When in Rome, Do as the Romans Do (It’s Hard to Match Others),” aired this week.

In the last episode, Illulu started living with Kobayashi. With some help from Lucoa, Illulu forced herself out of her comfort zone and played with Kanna and Saikawa. Tohru desperately asked for help to choose a maid outfit for Kobayashi. 

In episode 4, Elma tried to take some stress off of Kobyashi’s shoulders. Tohru helped the town with patrolling the area for any suspicious activity. Kobayashi took Tohru and the others to an amusement park.

Episode 5 is titled “Together With You (Well, If We Get Along)”

Since it’s always been a mystery as to who Kanna’s guardians are, her mom is finally going to be introduced. 

Kanna’s mom will see that Kobayashi is sincerely looking out for all the dragons and will reward her for her deeds, although she does not want it. 

Since Tohru finds it tough to comprehend human ethics and values, hopefully, she can clear her doubts regarding particular aspects of the human world.

Recap of Episode 4

Episode 4, titled “When in Rome, Do as the Romans Do (It’s Hard to Match Others),” starts with Kobayashi being shocked after looking at a beautifully written code. 

Elma reveals that she is the one who wrote the code, which shocks Kobayashi even more. After realizing that Elma can write code so well, Kobayashi gives her a lot of work.

It is revealed that Kobayashi is the pillar of their company and takes all the workload on herself. Elma is not content with this information and challenges Kobayashi to a competition to take some workload off her. 

Kobayashi catches on to her intentions and assures her that she has nothing to worry about, and as her senior, she cannot let her junior do more work than her. 

Tohru is asked to patrol the neighborhood for unusual activities as she had ended up stopping a robbery in the past. 

As she is walking around the town, she sees some delinquents trying to act tough. She beats them, and they say that they will come back for revenge.

They come back for revenge with one of the strongest delinquents in the town. However, Kobayashi, being the Chaos Dragon, beats them all quickly and has them as her underlings.

Kanna tells Kobayashi that she wants to go to the amusement park. So Kobayashi takes everyone to the park. 

Kanna, Illulu, and Saikawa enjoy the park as one group. At the same time, Kobayashi and Tohru explore the park as another. 

The episode ends with Tohru analyzing the amusement park and concluding that humans created this structure to substitute the feeling you’d have while riding a dragon.

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is a Slice of life, fantasy, comedy manga written and illustrated by Cool-Kyou Shinja. The manga began serialization in Monthly Action magazine from May 25, 2013.

It revolves around Kobayashi, a stoic programmer. While on her way to work, Kobayashi gets frightened after seeing the head of a dragon. Staring at her, the dragon immediately transforms into a young girl dressed in a maid outfit.

Introducing herself as Tooru, she reminds Kobayashi of her offer to stay in her home while she was drunk the previous night. Regretting her decision, she agrees to Tooru’s request to work as a personal maidservant to repay the debt for a shelter.
