Anos and the group travel to the past to get to the bottom of things in episode 6 of The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2, titled “The Great Mother Spirit and the demon King’s Right Hand Man “. With Revest and Menou’s help, Anos is able to distract the other demons and use the ultimate time magic, Revalon.
The group is able to travel to Alharten by using a rumor. Anos introduces the group and himself as traveling entertainers while disguising himself in the body of a child. Leno sheds some light on Leno’s identity.

Anos and the group are in Alharten, 2000 years in the past. It seems that we are close to knowing about the events that went down during that time, leading to Leno’s death and Shin changing into the Spirit King. The next episode will probably also reveal how Misa was created. Lena might be an important piece of the puzzle.
It seems like Shin is already aware of Anos being Anoshu and may confront him about it. Anos may tell Shin about the situation but he will have to be careful because of the Gods of Time. Despite what he said, Anos may end up changing history to save Leno after all.

Anos and others head on deeper into Delsgade. Anos uses his magic to hide themselves from Avos’s subordinates led by Demera. He notices Revest and Menou still wearing the misfit symbol and shows himself to them. They tell him about all the chaos Avos has brought and discuss how to bring her down.
Anos tells them that he first needs to know the whereabouts of the Spirit King, NousGalia, and Avos. He also tells them of his plan to use Revalon, the ultimate time magic, to go 2000 years into the past to investigate what happened to Leno, Shin, and how Misa was created. However, since Revalon is huge, they will need to distract the other demon, as it cannot be hidden with Najira.
Revest volunteers himself and tells Anos to use his flashiest attack magic on him, despite his warning of how painful it will be. Their plan works, and Anos promises Revest to help him and his classmates.
The group is able to reach Gairadite, 2000 years in the past. Anos tells them that they would not be able to modify anything as the Gods of Time will restore every change, so they will just observe. To not trigger the gods by his presence, Lay uses his source magic on Anos to conceal his source.
They decide to go to Alharten by making use of the rumor of throwing a water-colored candy into the Lake. Everyone arrives in the city just in time to witness the Hero Kanon’s victory celebration of 2000 years ago. Eleonore and Zeshia buy all the Holy Light Candy from a stall.
They see Leno hurrying Shin to buy the Holy Light candy. Leno becomes sad when she sees it sold out and blames Shin. Zeshia gives Leno two of her candies, and Leno thanks her with cookies in return. She asks if they are done fighting, and Leno tells them that they are good friends.
Anos asks Lena if she remembers anything after seeing Shin, since he is probably the masked man she has been looking for. She tells him that she isn’t sure, but she can feel something bad is about to happen.
Anos and the group arrive in Alaharten by making use of the rumor, after Leno and Shin, and see them getting attacked by the Divine Beast Gwen. Anos teaches Sasha a spell to defend from the beasts, which Shin and Leno notice.
Anos disguises himself in the body of a child, shows himself from his hiding place, and introduces himself as Anoshu Polticoal and the rest of them as a group of traveling entertainers. They are able to fool Leno with their acts, and Leno laughingly asks Shin what he thinks. Shin seems to know something but goes along with Anos.
Anos asks Leno if she knows anything about Lena. She denies it at first but takes Anos to the side and tells him that Lena is the Love Fairy Fran. She warns him not to tell her identity to her since, as a love fairy, she wanders looking for memories and vanishes if anyone tells her who she is.
Another beast suddenly attacks them, and Lay stops it but is unable to take out her sword due to the rules of Revalon. Anos asks Shin to give Lay the sword, Sigshesta. Shin is doubtful at first since only he and Anos could wield it, but Anos reassures him, and Lay easily slashes the beast with it. Impressed by his skills, Shin lends Sigshesta to Lay.

The Misfit of Demon King Academy, also known as Maō Gakuin no Futekigōsha, is a Japanese light novel series written by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma.
