Anos faces off against Ziek in a battle of wits in episode 1 of The Misfit of Demon King Academy, titled “The Demon King in a Battle of Wits”.
Meanwhile, Anos’s subordinates fight off against the subordinates of the Four Evil Royals and the Gods. Although they struggle against them at the beginning, each of them shows their full power and defeats them at the end.
Anos wins against Ziek despite his tricks and reveals that Melheis is alive. Melheis also reveals that the head of the Unitarians is Shin. Anos and the group heads to Alharten at Shins’s request to meet him.

Episode 3 Speculation
The group has defeated the enemies, and it’s been revealed that Lay is Kannon and the head of Unitarians is Shin. In the next episode, Anos will head off to Alhartem with the rest of their group. It will be interesting to see Anos meet his right-hand man after all this time. Since the beginning of episode 1 showed Shin and Leno together, it’s highly likely that Misa is their daughter.
NousGalia and the rest of the Gods may create some trouble for the group. It is still a mystery as to who the Child of God is and Shin may be able to shed some light on that.

Episode 1 Recap
Ziek asks Anos to place his magical powers as a betting chip, and he agrees. Ziek explains the rules of the game. Anos has to tell him whom he believes to be the child of god, and he will answer him. However, he can lie to him once. He gives him 18 guesses, but Anos changes it to 9. If he loses, he will have her magic blocked for 5 seconds.
It turns out Gerad didn’t actually stab Misa and tells them that he is after her source since she is the child borne by Great Spirit Leno. Zabro insinuates that Zeshia was the vessel the gods are waiting for. Rinka tells Sasha and Misha that the gods rewrote the magic circle, which split them and brought them to life.
Lay struggles against Gerad, who is tricked by him into destroying the magic jewels of the shield Gennias, leading to his source getting destroyed. Zabro converts Eleanore’s people into Gools.
Unable to attack their own people, they are helpless and Zabro starts sucking Eleanore’s and Zeshia’s powers. Rinka uses the Boundless Sword, Garmest against Sasha and Misha. They try to fight together, but she stabs both of them.
Anos starts their game by guessing that the child of god is one of his subordinates. He believes it to be one out of Sasha, Misha, Zeshia, or Misa. Their game continues, and Anos realizes that Ziek is giving him conflicting information.
He figures out that Ziek has planted a fake memory in his brain. Ziek laughs and tells Anos that he lost once he agreed to this game, and he has no choice but to forfeit.
Anos forfeits the game. According to their Zecht, his magic is blocked for 5 seconds, and Ziek’s barriers attack him. Anos, however, swiftly takes them out, laughing at Ziek for believing he will be helpless without his magic. He also figures out that his fake memories have to be planted with his real ones.
Ziek arrogantly tells Anos to kill him since he has no regrets after defeating the Demon King, but at that moment, he is shocked to see Melheis arrive whom he thought he killed.
Meanwhile, Gerad is surprised when Lay wakes up and destroys all the jewels of Gennias. He realizes that he has multiple sources and is actually Hero Kannon since he uses the sword Evansmana. Lay stabs Gerad, and he is reincarnated.
Eleanore uses her desire in her source to defeat Zabro and returna all the people back to normal.
As Rinka is about to kill Misha, Misha awakens and uses an overwhelming amount of his ice powers to defeat her and turns her into a crystal. She heals Sasha before passing out.
Anos tells Ziek that the one he killed was a fake Melheis with a pseudo-source. Ziek lost the moment he thought abou battling him. Ziek commits suicide in desperation and tries to leave, but Anos changes him into an owl and asks him his purpose for coming. He tells him that he was ordered to destroy even a little of the Demon King’s power which is why he killed Melheis.
Everyone arrives at the place, and Melheis tells Anos that the people still fear Avos Dilhevia and it will be wise to instead tell everyone that he and Kannon worked together to annihilate him. Anos tells everyone that the Child of God can be one of them.
Melheis also tells Anos that he met the head of the Unitarians, who turned out to be Shin, his right-hand man. Anos fuses the two sword pieces that the enemies had, and it turned out to be the looting sword Gilionojes which belonged to Shin. Since Shin told Melheis that he is awaiting Anos in Alhartem, he and everyone in the group heads there.

The Misfit of Demon King Academy, also known as Maō Gakuin no Futekigōsha, is a Japanese light novel series written by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma.
The series initially began as an amateur web novel in April 2017 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. It was later acquired by ASCII Media Works, which officially began to publish it in March 2018.
A manga adaptation by Kayaharuka launched online in July 2018, and an anime television series adaptation by Silver Link premiered on July 4, 2020.
It tells the story of History’s Strongest Demon King, who reincarnates after 2000 years and goes to Delsgade School (which trains young demons) with his descendants.
