Mieruko-chan Anime’s Spine-Chilling New Trailer And Visual Teases Fall Debut!

Mieruko-chan is one of those series that you enter for the horror but stay for the alluring artwork. The manga readers will already know what I’m talking about and the anime-only fans will get a treat soon.

With a protagonist who can see ghosts, you would expect lots of ghost-busting action. Well, Miko prefers a more normal life and is devastated because she has to keep pretending she can’t sense the presence of spirits despite being terrified of them.

The Mieruko-chan anime series will premiere in October 2021! With a brand-new English subbed trailer and curious visuals, the series has announced that it will be something to look forward to.

An English subbed trailer is a smart move to make the foreign fans feel involved. The trailer starts with Miko explaining her situation where she can see ghosts.

She explains how she has to act like she can’t see them for the sake of her safety and those around her. But, of course, she has her fair share of troubles as she needs to protect her oblivious best friend!

Two new visuals have also been released that only differ based on Mieruko-chan’s perspective.

Miko is hanging out with her friend, Kaede, in the first visual. In the second visual, we can see a ghost who is lurking around them! No wonder Miko looks so pale and terrified.

The visual tag is “Hey, can you see? Can you not see?” which is obviously the ghost’s whispers, making the visual ten times more creepy.

Main staff members of the anime have been revealed:

Hana YurikawaKaede HondoElaina (Wandering Witch: The Journeys of Elaina)

The anime’s opening song is “Mienei Kara ne!?” performed by Sora Amamiya. The series’ previous trailer had highlighted the comic parts of the anime, but the current one emphasizes the horror element.

Nonetheless, I am definitely looking forward to this horror-comedy anime that might help me overcome my fear of jump-scares!
