This flight seems to be running a little bit behind the schedule.
Microsoft Flight Simulator confirmed on Twitter that their next World Update i.e. World Update 3 has been delayed yet again and will be arriving on February 16th. Originally slated for January 26th, the update is set to bring new terrain for the UK; England, Wales and Scotland to be precise.
Asobo Studios, the french developers of the game, also confirmed that the update will feature new aerials, five airports (including Liverpool’s John Lennon airport), over 70 new points of interest, and five new photogrammetry cities (including London, Oxford and Bristol).
The delay has been attributed to the extensive work that went into detailing these cities. To make the cities as life-like and close to reality as possible, new technologies and tools needed to be created and installed in the sim. However, Asobo is now confident that the updated data points and tech used for these cities will work seamlessly.
Up next will be World Update 4 that will focus on France and Benelux and is currently slated to release in March.
