The war has ended, and the heroes have emerged victorious. Deku not only saved everyone but also Shigaraki, freeing him from his childhood pain and suffering. Additionally, All For One (AFO) has also been defeated.
Now, fans had questions about the conclusion of My Hero Academia and Deku losing his quirk. Well, chapter 424 will address these questions, but you don’t have to wait any longer because the spoilers are out, and they will bring tears of joy.
The Weather Gets Clear As People Are Living Peacefully Once Again
My Hero Academia chapter 424 will be titled “Epilogue.” The chapter starts a few days after the events. The weather has unexpectedly cleared up, and a forecaster apologizes for her incorrect prediction in Washington DC. She advises people to take care of their laundry due to the strong winds, possibly caused by Deku’s punch.
The focus then shifts to Japan, where Cementoss and Salaam are rebuilding a structure while two children run around, excited about the prospect of living in the new building. Foreign heroes have also arrived in Japan to aid the reconstruction efforts.
Setsuna can be seen assisting a pro hero in construction, and Koichi Haimawari is spotted flying in the sky. A reporter comments that without the emergence of quirks, such large-scale construction would have taken over a decade to complete.
Fate of Katsuki Bakugo
Chapter 424 spoilers then show the central hospital where a doctor is seen speaking to Katsuki Bakugo. The doctor mentions that his arms are in terrible shape, and even rehabilitation might not help. While surgery may retain their shape, he might not recover.
The doctor suggests that Bakugo might need to consider robotic limbs like Mirko to continue being a hero. Bakugo rejects this idea because his quirk relies on the sweat produced by his palms. Bakugo believes Deku no longer has his quirk so he would undergo rehabilitation and work hard as a hero despite the challenges.
The doctor recommended light exercises instead of rehab due to the risk posed to his heart. If it weren’t for Edgeshot’s intervention, Bakugo would have died. It didn’t make sense to the doctor how he was able to fight and travel with the injuries.
Deku Became The Greatest Hero in My Hero Academia
My Hero Academia spoilers shift to a hospital room where Deku and All Might rest. Deku tells All Might that he can feel his arms again but is upset that he couldn’t save Shigaraki. Shigaraki no longer has hatred in his heart, but he refuses to give up leadership of the League of Villains.
All Might asks Deku about Shigaraki’s expression in their final moments, leading to a flashback. Deku remembers telling Shigaraki that he has already removed the hatred from him, to which Shigaraki responds that the future depends on the heroes’ actions.
All Might suggest that if Deku no longer sees the crying boy in Shigaraki, it’s likely that the boy’s heart has been saved. Deku confirms this but notes that he still retains the embers of the One For All quirk.
Outburst of Emotions
Bakugo walks into the room where Deku and All Might are resting. He’s shocked by what he hears and starts reflecting on past events. Bakugo remembers the time when he and Deku held the All Might card together and when he used to bully Deku. These memories bring Bakugo to tears as he thinks about his actions and his desire to compete with Deku as a hero.
Meanwhile, Deku is completely surprised by Bakugo’s emotional reaction, while All Might praises them for their growth since their first meeting.
All Might expresses his gratitude, saying that Deku became the greatest hero the moment he started running toward danger and has now become a hero to everyone. He also acknowledges Bakugo for saving his life, allowing him to witness their journey.
Chapter 424 spoilers end with a narration by Deku, reflecting on his childhood belief that the world would automatically be peaceful after the war ended. He admits that their story isn’t over yet and provides glimpses of Shoto and Ochako.
The final panel shows Deku, Iida, and Kaminari in their uniforms as they walk toward U.A. High School.
