The world’s first Intel Meteor Lake-equipped laptop was displayed at Computex by MSI. The MSI Prestige 16 model boasts the latest offering by Intel – the 14th-gen “Meteor Lake.”
The surprising thing is that MSI did not stop Wccftech’s team from installing benchmarking software while the laptop was unattended. They managed to get the HWiNFO and Cinebench benchmarks quickly.
MSI Prestige 16 EVO/Studio features an unnamed Meteor Lake P/H/U class CPU with six performance cores and 10 Efficient Cores installed on the SoC. It also confirms Integrated Intel Arc Graphics which is a cut-down variant of the discrete GPU lineup.

It must be kept in mind that the benchmark was received using a laptop running an Engineering sample. This is why the cores weren’t functioning at full speed, as Intel’s Core P-series’ boost capability is hampered with low power supply.
The CPU has a confirmed PL1 of 15W and PL2 of 28W that can be reconfigured to a higher 20W to 65W range. As per the HWiNFO output, the sample can reach 121W at peak.
A quick glance through the HWiNFO test will confirm that the processor is based on the 7nm technology and is named Intel 0000. This is similar to what we’ve seen earlier with the Core Ultra 7 1003H, as Intel looks to use a new nomenclature for the 14th Gen Meteor Lake parts.
The integrated Arc GPU is based on Intel’s Xe-LPG architecture. This is a derivative of the discrete Arc GPU series but with a lower TGP. However, it has the same specs as the desktop Intel Arc A380 series with 128 Execution Units and 1024 FP32 cores.
Coming to Cinebench, the Meteor Lake processor scored 4261 points in the multi-core Cinebench R23 benchmark. The single core could not be run as MSI started to take notice of the software running.
It must be kept in mind that the multi-core test was achieved at a low 21% CPU utilization, with the clocks running at the max 640 MHz.
Intel is looking to bring a competitive product into the market and provide stiff competition to AMD, which has recently released its beast of a processor – the Phoenix series.
While the full capabilities of the Meteor Lake lineup are yet to be known, we will likely get to lay our hands on it relatively soon.
