Many unique stories are taking the route of getting adapted into a television drama or an anime adaptation. A firefighter drama is also preparing to be in the race. “Firefighter! Daigo of Fire Company M: Orange’s National Salvation” manga will be adapted into an anime series.
The sixth volume of Masahito Soda and Kuro Toriyama’s manga series was released on Thursday. The wraparound jacket of the volume revealed that the anime adaptation is in the works, slated for a 2023 premiere.
Furthermore, the official website and Twitter also broke the news by releasing a short teaser.
As per the announcement, Brain’s Base will produce the anime, with Masahiko Murata directing the series. We will surely get more information about the cast and staff in the future.
The 2020 manga series acts as a sequel to the 1995 manga “Firefighter! Daigo of Fire Company M”. It was previously adapted into an anime film in 1999 and a television drama in 2004.
The manga tells the story of Daigo Asahina, a fresh graduate from the fire training academy. He is assigned to the Madaka-Ga-Hama fire station. While he is enthusiastic, he soon gets a harsh reality check, making him wonder if he truly has what it takes to be a firefighter.

Firefighter! Daigo of Fire Company M: Kyukoku no Orange (Megumi no Daigo: Kyukoku no Orange) is a 2020 manga series written by Masahito Soda and illustrated by Kuro Toriyama. It is a sequel to Soda’s 1995 manga “Megumi no Daigo” (Firefighter! Daigo of Fire Company M).
The story is about three people aiming to join Special Rescue Team “Orange”. Daigo Toake, Shun Onoda, and Yuki Nakamura meet each other. Together, the three are destined to save the country from a huge crisis.
