The firefighter action-drama Megumi no Daigo: Kyūkoku no Orange was announced a while ago. Not much was revealed until now, when more details have finally been shared with us.
On Wednesday, the official website for the anime series released a new video and the details on the main cast and staff. The video also reveals that the series will be out in the fall of 2023.

Brain’s Base will handle the production of the anime series. Masahiko Murata will direct the series with scripts written by Shinzō Fujita. Hitomi Tsuruta and Koji Yabuno are designing the characters for the anime.
Megumi no Daigo: Kyūkoku no Orange is a sequel to the original Megumi no Daigo manga series that ran from 1995 to 1999 in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine. The series inspired an anime film which was released in 1999.
The current series is published in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine and is in its seventh volume. The sixth volume was released in December 2022.

Firefighter! Daigo of Fire Company M: Kyukoku no Orange (Megumi no Daigo: Kyukoku no Orange) is a 2020 manga series written by Masahito Soda and illustrated by Kuro Toriyama. It is a sequel to Soda’s 1995 manga “Megumi no Daigo” (Firefighter! Daigo of Fire Company M).
The story is about three people aiming to join Special Rescue Team “Orange”. Daigo Toake, Shun Onoda, and Yuki Nakamura meet each other. Together, the three are destined to save the country from a huge crisis.
