Megan Fox is set to star in a modern-day remake of Bonnie and Clyde, but she’s not playing one of the titular characters (as one would have assumed).
With three new films coming out this year, Fox will star alongside Tyson Ritter in the new feature thriller, titled ‘Johnny And Clyde.’
As first reported by Deadline, Fox will play a crime boss named Alana, and Ritter will play her head of security.
Co-directed by Tom DeNucci and Chad A. Verdi, the movie is currently in production in Rhode Island. Johnny and Clyde are expected to be cast shortly and will join the production in October.
I am very excited to have Megan play the role of Alana. She’s a brilliant actress who will bring this character to life like no one else could. I love Tyson’s energy and can’t wait for him and Megan to go head-to-head.

The film will follow the two titular serial killers, madly in love, on an endless crime spree. They have their sights set on robbing a prosperous casino run by Alana and her head of security.
The film will be a new take on the infamous story of Bonnie and Clyde. Given the name change from Bonnie to Johnny, one can’t help but wonder if the film will feature two male leads and be a gay rendition of the classic tale.
Ritter is best known as the frontman of All-American Rejects, but he’s been trying his hand at acting for a while now with projects like Preacher.
Bonnie and Clyde are best known on screen due to Arthur Penn’s 1967 classic film and have had several remakes so far.
It is hard to beat a classic, but it would be interesting how this new film will portray the couple who caused one of the most spectacular manhunts the nation had seen up to that time.
