1. Episode 13 Speculation
Episode 13 will take us to the final episode of Megalo Box 2, where Joe will be facing Mac in an exhibition match. It seems that time changes everything since the popularly known Gearless Joe isn’t “Gearless” anymore.
He has to depend on the gear that Chief has passed on it. Sachio and his friends have made quite a few changes to it, and I hope they will turn out to be useful in the match.

Episode 12 starts with Joe training hard under Yuuri, and he feels like a lost hummingbird who is returning to his home (megaloboxing). Well, age is still a factor, so he can’t go “gearless” anymore, like in his old days.
Joe will be relying on the gear that Chief gave him as a token of gratitude. However, after close inspection, the gear turns out to be quite unsuitable for Joe. It focuses more on defense and limits Joe’s movements.
Buying a new gear isn’t an option, so Sachio and others work hard on the gear to increase its range of movements as much as possible, making it tailor-made to catch up with Joe’s swiftness.
Meanwhile, Mac is still far away from the megaloboxing ring. Life has been harsh on him, and he spends his nights drinking and mourning for his wrong decisions.
While he was being interrogated by the police, a song from a street performer reaches his ears bringing back the memories of his achievements and failures. Finally, he realizes that he hasn’t lost everything yet.
The next day, he returns to his home and vows to his wife and his son that things would be different this time. With that, he starts preparing for his upcoming exhibition match against Joe.
The next episode will take us to the biggest megaloboxing event of this decade, where Joe and Mac will face each other. Can Joe lead team Nowhere to victory?

Megalo Box is a sincere homage to the iconic Ashita no Joe’s manga as well as anime series. Megalo Box was created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the renowned and redefining boxing series – ‘Ashita no Joe.’
Chikara Sakuma launched a manga adaptation of the Megalo Box anime titled: ‘Megalo Box – Shukumei no Shoken.’ It was serialized in Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine Edge from February 2018 to August 2018 with a total of 2 volumes.
TMS Entertainment, with the help of 3xCube, developed the original anime series ‘Megalo Box,’ which was heavily inspired by ‘Ashita no Joe.’ The first episode aired on April 6, 2018.
