Chikara Sakuma is the author and artist behind the well-known manga “Megalo Box-Shukumei no Sōken” ( Megalo Box – The Twin Fists of Fate).
The Megalo Box manga was adapted from the anime of the same name. Although it is his most famous work, he has worked on other manga as well.
MAGiCO was the first manga by Chikara, and it was serialized from 2008-2014.
His next original work is Kabedon! Both of these are sports genre mangas, and with this, he has already specified his field of interest.
The Monthly Comic @Bunch magazine announced in its October issue that Chikara Sakuma will be releasing a new manga in the November issue of the magazine.
The title of the new manga will be LINKMAN, and the first chapter will contain 63 pages.
An opening color page will also be included in the chapter. The chapter will be released on 19th September.
LINKMAN will be a soccer-themed manga. Chikara has already shown his skill with the sports genre at Kabedon!, Megalobox and MAGiCO.
Thus, it is a given that the upcoming manga is being authored by a seasoned person in the field.
Sakuma adapted the manga from the anime Megalo Box which was a spinoff anime of the manga Ashita no Joe manga by Ikki Kajiwara and Tetsuya Chiba.
Chikara’s Megalo Box manga was published from February to August of 2018 in the Shonen Edge Magazine.
Megalo Box’s plot revolves around a type of boxing called Megaloboxing.
In the futuristic city of Japan, only the wealthy and licensed citizens can live in the inner city while the outer slum is full of unlicensed citizens.
Junk Dog, an underground fighter, has to claw his way up and fight in the tournament.
MAGiCO has been published as 17 volumes and has a total of 67 chapters. Chikara’s art style shines through the actions of all of his works.

Chikara Sakuma launched a manga adaptation of the Megalo Box anime titled: ‘Megalo Box – Shukumei no Shoken’, it was serialized in Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine Edge from February 2018 to August 2018 with a total of 2 volumes.
TMS Entertainment, with the help of 3xCube, developed the original anime series ‘Megalo Box,’ which was heavily inspired by ‘Ashita no Joe.’ The first episode aired on April 6, 2018.
