The anime ‘The Duke of Death and His Maid’ follows Bocchan, a young duke who was cursed by a witch as a child to kill whatever living thing he touches. As such, he’s been ostracized and isolated since childhood, forced to live alone with an unwanted power.
Luckily, the duke receives his light at the end of this dark and solemn tunnel via Alice, his loving and devoted maid, who also happens to enjoy teasing him to get a reaction. While the story of Bocchan and Alice continues in season 2, Crunchyroll made some exciting announcements regarding the series.
On Friday, Crunchyroll announced that the second season of the television anime adaptation of Koharu Inoue’s manga The Duke of Death and His Maid (Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid) would start streaming on the site on July 30.

The English dub is being directed by Sara Ragsdale. Susie Nixon is in charge of production. The English script is being written by Ben Phillips. Tina Son is the engineer, and Matt Grounds is the mixer.
The Duke of Death and His Maid is a touching yet tragic story. Because of its uplifting but thought-provoking storyline, the anime has rapidly become one of the very few anime I’ve found myself completely captivated by, and if you haven’t heard of it, it’s high time you give it a try.

The Duke of Death and His Maid is a 2017 supernatural manga by Koharu Inoue. The manga was serialized on Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry website and finished its run in May 2022.
The story revolves around a young duke named Bocchan who was cursed by a witch in his childhood. His curse can kill anything he touches, making him completely isolated from his loved ones to save their lives. He lives in a mansion on his own but is accompanied by his maid and butler.
He has quite the relationship with his maid Alice and the two grow closer throughout the story.
