A new trailer for the rom-com anime Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms has recently been released, creating anticipation for its premiere in 2025 and introducing the primary cast. Studio SynergySP (Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2) is animating, with Yoshiaki Okumura (Lupin the Third) as the director.
In the TV anime adaptation of Ran Kuze’s Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms romantic-comedy manga, the role of Asahi Shonan, a first-year star basketball player, will be brought to life by the talented Sora Amamiya (known for her role as Chizuru Ichinose in Rent-a-Girlfriend).
The character trailer, which features Sora Amamiya’s voice acting, serves as a visual treat, showcasing the upgraded visuals of Shonan and Mona Kawai. In this trailer, we get a glimpse of Sora Amamiya’s portrayal of Asahi Shōnan, Mona and Medaka’s junior who starts a rivalry with Mona and develops a crush on Medaka.

The Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms is a Japanese manga written and drawn by Ran Kuze. It originally started as a one-shot published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in December 2020, while it was serialized in the same magazine in May 2021.
