McQuarrie’s Instagram Post Sparks Rumors About Mission Impossible 7 Trailer

A mysterious social media post from Director Christopher McQuarrie hints at a new trailer for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. 

The spy film series continues with Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, an IMF agent who faces new challenges. He is joined by his loyal team of Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, and Rebecca Ferguson, who play Luther Stickwell, Benji Dunn, and Ilsa Faust respectively.

On Instagram, McQuarrie posted a mysterious image from behind the scenes, sparking rumors that a new trailer for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is on the way. Check out his post here-

The image shows a monitor with a still from Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One car chase on it. McQuarrie’s dog, who often appears on his Instagram posts, is lying below the screen. The post’s comment section is full of fans asking McQuarrie for more updates.

McQuarrie’s image may or may not mean that a new trailer is coming soon, he might just be finishing some editing. But the image of the old yellow Fiat 500 promises a thrilling car chase. 

The previous trailer for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One shows Hunt in Rome, handcuffed to Grace, a new character played by MCU star Hayley Atwell. They drive the small car through the city, dodging other cars, while someone chases them.

Car chases are a staple of the Mission: Impossible franchise, such as the cliffside sports car duel in Mission: Impossible 2, the wild chase in Marrakesh in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, and Hunt’s getaway in Paris in Mission: Impossible – Fallout. 

But Dead Reckoning Part One tries to make the sequence more interesting by putting obstacles in the way of the heroes. Hunt and Grace are handcuffed to each other in a car that is not very fast, so Hunt has to rely on more than speed to shake off his enemies.

The next film also has one of the riskiest motorcycle stunts ever performed, similar to the one in GoldenEye’s opening scene. Both scenes have the film’s main spy drive a motorcycle off a cliff; but Cruise has chosen to do the stunt himself. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One could be another milestone in the history of action movies.
