Far Cry 6 is an enormous game packed with missions and sidequests. There is plenty of in-game material that will not appear on your map, and in We’re (Un)Jammin’ Yaran story, the McKay Wave Jammers are one of those things.
This side mission starts during the operation Tourist Trap. La Moral has set the task of minimizing interference in the area. You have to find all the 11 Jammers to complete the Yaran story. Once found, all you need to do is climb the ladder and disable the Jammers using the circuit breakers.
In this Far Cry 6 guide, I’ll tell you the exact locations of all 11 McKay wave jammers and what you need to do once you’ve found them.
Where are all the McKay Wave Jammers located in Far Cry 6?
In Far Cry 6, all the McKay Wave Jammers are found in the El Este region of La Joya, clumped together around Mirador Cape. Disabling 7 Jammers will automatically mark down the rest.
Mentioned below are the precise location of all the 11 Jammers and the ways to reach them.
1 Jammer 1/11
This Wave Jammer is disabled in the main story during the Tourist Trap operation.
2 Jammer 2/11
This Jammer is southeast of the first. It has no ladder, so you have to grapple hook up to the platform.
3 Jammer 3/11
To reach this Jammer, you have to climb on top of the rightmost building. When you enter the main gate of La Joya Local PDP Offices, take the door straight ahead of you, and climb the ladder directly to your left.
4 Jammer 4/11
This Jammer is to the north of northeast of the fourth Jammer. Since this one also has no ladder, you’ve to use your grappling hook to climb up to the platform.
5 Jammer 5/11
To reach the circuit breaker on this particular Jammer, you need to climb up onto the red crate at the side.
6 Jammer 6/11
You’ve two options to access this Jammer. The first being, climbing up the mountain to the west and using your Wingsuit to glide onto the platform. Or you can find and use an airplane/helicopter and parachute onto it. There is an airplane at the Gabriel Castillo Airport.
7 Jammer 7/11
To reach the platform of this Jammer, climb the wooden boxes behind.
8 Jammer 8/11
Climb on top of the wooden pallets behind the Jammer to get to the container. Then continue climbing to reach up to the platform.
9 Jammer 9/11
To access this Jammer, you have to climb the blue barrels on the west end of the Jammer.
10 Jammer 10/11
You need to climb across the wooden logs, then on top of the two containers, and jump across to reach this Jammer.
11 Jammer 11/11
To reach the last Jammer, climb up the ladder at the side.
How can you disable the McKay Wave Jammers in Far Cry 6?
In Far Cry 6, after taking out guards stealthily and reaching the platform, you can disable the Wave Jammers by pressing the prompted button. It will cause stabbing and cutting of the wires inside the orange fuse box. As a result, the internet connection of the area will strengthen gradually.
Note: Instead of killing the guards one by one, you can use your EXTERMINADOR Supremo to clear the whole location.
It is unnecessary to disable all 11 McKay Wave Jammers because disabling even one speeds up the download a bit. Once the mission is successful, you may or may not visit the final remaining Jammers.
Eventually, when either all or a selected group of Jammers are disabled, you’re free to complete the main objective by locating the computer in the building’s office. After dealing with soldiers in the nearby area, approach the computer and download the required files.
Why do you need to disable Jammers in Far Cry 6?
In Far Cry 6, it is essential to disable Jammers in the La Joya region to speed up the internet connection of the surrounding area and aid in the download of intel La Moral and Libertad are after.
As part of the storyline, Sean McKay will eventually enter into the firing line of representatives who have to be dealt with to overthrow El Presidente: Anton Castillo and liberate the Republic of Yara.
Note: You can break into the location of your objective, the office in Mirador Cape, without disabling any Jammers, but the download speed will be slow-moving.
Finishing the sidequest, We’re (Un)Jammin’ will reward you with 100 Guerrilla XPs and one gunpowder resource.
