Mike’s job description just went from “Mayor” to “Firefighter” since all he’s been doing since the season 2 premiere is putting out fires. But, amid these burnouts, he’s also lit some matches, namely Bunny and Iris, driving them away from his corner.
On a 48-hour deadline, what will Mike do about his predicament with the Crips’ leader and Iris returning to the Russians? Guess we have to wait for episode 4 to dive into that.
1. Episode 4 Synopsis/Speculation
Mike may not be at his A-game now since he is more riled about Iris’ disappearance and Milo’s escape than his grand plan involving the five gangs and Bunny. But we have reason to believe the mayor will get back up to his old self, but we can’t see it happening by the next episode.
Episode 4 might be one of the most hectic points in the mayor’s life, considering he has to keep a lookout for Milo, save Iris, and get Bunny safe passage out of prison, and all of this on a time limit.
Kyle’s situation puts him at a turning point in his life, and we fear his desperation will either get him killed or worse. He may have denied getting involved with the Russians when Mike offered a job to find Iris, but his life will only get more complicated after the shoot-out.
Bunny’s position may be shaky now, but if he can regain the prisoners’ confidence, Mike may have more cards up his sleeve – that is, if Bunny lets him use them since he’ll be the one holding them. But this risky plan will get even more problematic if another riot leads to a prison change.
Iris is back with Milo, and while we don’t know her motive for returning to her old lifestyle, we can clearly see she’s not happy about it. How long will she have to stay in her old cage before Mike can save her?
We’re hoping episode 4 is on the longer side since episode 3 only added more fuel to Mike’s already burning life, but when is the next episode hitting the network?

5. Episode 3 Recap
The episode opens with Iris reluctantly agreeing with Milo to take her old job back, and she finds herself in the same hellish loop as before she met Mike. Meanwhile, Mike’s search for her is interrupted when Ian and the police raid Bunny’s grandma’s apartment, putting his deal with the Crips leader in danger.
Mike meets up with Bunny, informs the guards of Bunny’s plans, instructs them to follow their lead, and then goes to meet Kyle. Mike’s brother asks him to use his sway and get his previous job back or anything to do as he is out of work, but he declines when Mike asks him to find Iris.
Mike finds Joseph and tries to get Iris’ location out, asking a beaten-up Joseph to pass Milo the message that Mike knows he escaped. Tatiana tells him Mike’s suspicions are correct; Iris is back in Milo’s trap and not doing well.
Mike returns to see that Bunny’s plan didn’t work out, and the leader took quite a bit of heat in the fight. Bunny states he knows about the raid on his grandma’s apartment and gives Mike an ultimatum – get him out in 48 hours, or the McLusky family will face the consequences. Mike leaves after instructing the guard to keep Bunny safe no matter what.
