Mashle: Magic and Muscles is a series that takes the genre of a fantasy world with magic and flips it right on its head. Filled with comedic gigs and entertaining moments, it became a successful manga series and gained a massive following.
Soon enough, the A-1 studio released a major promotional video and visual for Mashle: Magic and Muscles during Jump Festa ’23, as well as a speculative release date for the anime, which would be in April 2023, making it part of the spring anime season and as April is just a few weeks away, new information was released regarding the new anime.
On Saturday, a preview screening for the television anime of Hajime Kōmoto’s Mashle: Magic and Muscles manga unveiled the anime’s full promotional video, second key visual, more cast and staff members, theme song artists, and April 7 premiere.
The trailer reveals some of the new characters that will be important to the series and the artists for the anime’s theme song.
The opening theme song “Knock Out” is performed by Taiiku Okazaki, while the closing theme song “Shu Cream Funk” is performed by the musical group Philosophy no Dance (Cream Puff Funk).
The dark and intense background in the second key visual adds to the overall mysterious and ominous tone of the series, hinting at potential danger and conflicts that Mash and his friend may face.
Further, additional cast and staff members were also revealed by the official Twitter account for the anime. The cast that were revealed includes:

- Yuichiro Umehara as Abel Walker

About Mashle
Mashle: Magic and Muscles is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Kōmoto. It was launched in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in January 2020 and ended in July 2023, with its chapters collected in 18 tankōbon volumes.
Set in a magic world, Mash Burnedead is a young man who was born without magic. In order to live a peaceful life with his adoptive grandfather, he needs to become a Divine Visionary, a title given to exceptional students from the Easton Magic Academy.
Mash goes to the magic school, despite not having any magic, and must survive by only relying on his muscles.
