Since all cafés are busy due to Christmas, Makabe invites her to his house. The entire house is empty, and he sees a note that the family has left for the hot springs after winning the lottery. Aki decides to sit down anyway, and Makabe makes some tea.

He makes a big fuss since he can’t find the tea bags, and Aki comes to search with him. She finds pancake ingredients and decides to make them, but they are horrible at flipping them. Once done, they have it with some hot cocoa, which turns out much better than expected.

After the meal, Makabe drags Aki to his room and shows her the picture of them as kids. The situation escalates, but Makabe gets scared and runs to the bathroom. Aki asks Yoshino for advice on the date and feels confused about how it ended.

Masamune-kun’s Revenge is a manga by Hazuki Takeoka and Tiv which was originally serialized in Monthly Comic Rex Magazine by Ichijinsha from October 12 to June 2018. It received a 12-episode anime in 2017. A second season will be released in July 2023.

The series revolves around Masamune, a guy who used to be chubby and after getting bullied by Aki Adagaki, he decided to transform himself. Cut to high school when he has become slim, studious, and athletic. Now, Aki can’t recognize him.

Thus, Masamune swears that he will make Aki fall in love with him and then reject her so that he can take revenge.
