Makabe and Aki are dating, but the relationship will not last long. Although Makabe is doing his best to keep up with all her requests, she will also need to put some effort into the relationship for it to work out.

Yoshino and Makabe also have a falling out after she tells him the truth about the past. Although Makabe bears no grudges against her, she wants to stop having contact with him. He will be highly against this idea and try his best to rekindle their friendship.

Gasol gets up and throws Makabe to the ground, accusing him of using Aki to boost his pride. He says that he was never the popular kid since his earliest memories were of him being bullied for being a fat child.

Gasol continues to double down and turns to Aki instead, desperately trying to convince her that Makabe is lying. In the heat of the conversation, she notices Gasou’s cleavage and confronts him about it.

He gets flustered and pretends to get a phone call to escape the situation. Aki agrees to go out with Makabe, which catches him off guard but makes him extremely happy. The following day in school, Fujinomiya acts very passive-aggressively towards Makabe.

Yoshino runs into the two of them alone in the shed, and Makabe runs off from embarrassment. Later in the park, Yoshino approaches him again and thanks him for not telling Aki the truth. She tells him that now that he’s in a relationship with Aki, she will stop contacting him.

Masamune-kun’s Revenge is a manga by Hazuki Takeoka and Tiv which was originally serialized in Monthly Comic Rex Magazine by Ichijinsha from October 12 to June 2018. It received a 12-episode anime in 2017. A second season will be released in July 2023.

The series revolves around Masamune, a guy who used to be chubby and after getting bullied by Aki Adagaki, he decided to transform himself. Cut to high school when he has become slim, studious, and athletic. Now, Aki can’t recognize him.

Thus, Masamune swears that he will make Aki fall in love with him and then reject her so that he can take revenge.
