Marvel Reportedly Bringing Ghost Rider Into MCU Movies

Ghost Rider has been missing from the MCU so far. Gabriel Luna played the role of Robbie Reyes’ Ghost Rider on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. This version of the anti-hero was a success and the Johnny Blaze original had a cameo in the show. There is Ghost Rider series in the works on Hulu and Gabriel Luna will return for the show. It is currently unknown if there is any other version of Ghost Rider appearing in and MCU movie yet.

Ghost Rider is one of the most famous anti-heroes and lately there are many rumours surrounding the appearance of Ghost Rider in the MCU. The news channel MCU Cosmic has confirmed that Kevin Feige has plans to introduce Ghost Rider into the MCU but further details are sketchy.

The outlet cites industry insider Daniel R.P.K. as their source after the always reliable tipster took to Twitter today with the following Tweet:

It is currently unclear which version of Ghost Rider is likely to appear, Daniel mentions that it’ll likely be a ‘different version’ from the one he showed in his Tweet. There are chances that Cosmic Ghost Rider may finally appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe which is very interesting.

The History of Ghost Rider in the movies

The character appeared on the big screen in two films, both starring Nicolas Cage. The most recent one, “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance,” earned nearly $133 million worldwide in 2012. The first “Ghost Rider” generated almost $229 million at the global box office in 2007. Both pics were released by Sony, which controlled the rights to the character before recently handing them back to Marvel.
