Mangamo app is a blessing to manga fans who live outside of Japan to catch up on their favorite manga series.
Due to low supply and exorbitant prices charged by local sellers, fans rely upon illegal scans, rough translations, and sketchy websites. Though various other apps are dedicated to manga, none update the chapters on time or have an extensive collection.
That is where Mangamo comes to the rescue.
Recently, Mangamo announced that it would add more than 800 more manga volumes licensed by Kodansha, bringing the total number of Kodansha mangas available to 1200.
The app previously housed titles such as Attack on Titan and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, but will now add new manga titles such as Fire Force, Fairy Tail, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Attack on Titan: Before the Fall, Gleipnir, The Quintessential Quintuplets, A Silent Voice, and Tokyo Revengers.
Mangamo also has in-house translators, which means that previous manga releases that never had official translations will also get new releases on the app.
Currently, the Mangamo IOS and the Android app versions are both available worldwide. With a subscription rate of 4.9 dollars, the users get one month free while they can enjoy an ad-free manga reading experience on mobile.
Mangamo has 19 publishing partners, including but not limited to Kodansha, Comicsmart, TOPPAN, and North Star Pictures.
The company is also backed by an anime overlord Sony which owns most online streaming sites such as Crunchyroll, FUNimation, and Animelab.
With a growing collection and strong backing, the services have the potential to reach many new heights. As a result, we manga readers will have one of the best apps to read manga!
