After Mandy dropped the baby bomb at the end of season 5 of Young Sheldon, Georgie and Mandy have had several ups and downs as unmarried parents-to-be. But now, with season 6 hitting the episode 10 mark, the writers decided it’s finally time for the two to have a serious discussion about their future.
In a teaser released by TV Promos for the upcoming episode, the show hints that the unlikely parents will finally put a label on their relationship. Watch the teaser below:
In the short teaser, a town girl hits on Georgie, who turns her away because of Mandy and their unnamed situation. Mandy questioned him about his rejection of the girl and advised him to go for it since they’re not tied down and are not in the same boat despite having a baby together.
Since Young Sheldon is a prequel spinoff of The Big Bang Theory, we have some idea of what this future entails. But, of course, this is only a theory, and we’ll just have to wait and see where the story takes us. Without further ado, here’s our idea of Georgie and Mandy’s future.
As revealed in The Big Bang Theory, Georgie was hitched for the first time when he was 19, close to his age in the show presently. While the show hadn’t exclusively mentioned Mandy or anything after that, we’re wondering if Mandy and Georgie tied the knot. But they may start dating again to see if they’re a good fit for the sake of their child.
Further proof to solidify our rooting for the two is how Georgie became the owner of Texas’ No.1 tire chain, and in Young Sheldon, Mandy’s parents run one. Maybe Georgie started his career there after he and Mandy hit it off, and he inherited it after they married.
But we’re also sure that Mandy and Georgie aren’t meant to last since The Big Bang Theory also established that the oldest Cooper son was married several times in his life. This obviously means that even if Mandy and Georgie did make vows of forever, they eventually split up.
Whatever they decide to name their current relationship, we’re waiting to see how their story unfolds and how they come to terms with being parents once the child is born.
