The anime adaptation of The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten was released a week ago. With the second episode out now, the series has finally revealed its ending song. You might be familiar with it if you are into Japanese pop.
On Saturday, the official website for the rom-com series revealed that Manaka Iwami has performed the ending theme “Chiisana Koi no Uta” (A Little Love Song). The song is originally performed by the Japanese punk rock band Mongol800.
The song has also been covered by Rie Takahashi which was used as the fifth ending theme for the anime Karakai Jozu no Takagi-san.
Iwami also plays the protagonist Mahiru Shiina in The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten. The website also shared a creditless version of the ending on its official feed and TOHO’s YouTube channel.
The anime is based on Saekisan’s light novel series and also stars Taito Ban as Amane Fujimiya, Taku Yashiro as Itsuki Akasawa, and Haruka Shiraishi as Chitose Shirakawa.
Lihua Wang and Kenichi Imaizumi are directing the series with Project No.9 as the animation studio. Keiichiro Ochi is writing the scripts with Takayuki Noguchi designing the characters. Moe Hyuga composed the music.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten (Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsu no Ma ni ka Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken) is a light novel series by Saekisan and illustrated by Hanekoto. It started publishing online on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in December 2018 and then by SB Creative in June 2019.
It features a sweet high school love story of neighbors and schoolmates, Amane Fujimiya and Mahiru Shiina. Fujimiya is an average student, while Mahiru is the school’s angel, and fate leads the two to become closer than ever.
