Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica is the type of anime that deceives you with its appearance. Cute but deadly as one gets deeper into the series.
Magia Record’s side story gave us two adventurous and engaging seasons, which everyone loved. Nevertheless, every great thing must come to an end, and this is no exception.
The side story of Puella Magi Madoka Magica is finally coming to an end this spring after the anime was originally set to debut in the summer of 2021.
Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story Final Season – Asaki Yume no Akatsuki (Dawn of Light Dreams) will premiere all 4 episodes back to back on April 3, 2022.
The new trailer previews the theme song titled ‘Music Box’ alongside the final season details.
The video gives a glimpse of all the girls from Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story except it gives no appearance of Alina Gray. I hope this doesn’t mean that she won’t be doing much in the final 4 episodes.
Asaki Yume no Akatsuki’s ending theme song will be a collaboration between band ClariS and TrySail titled “Orugōru/Orgel” (Music Box). The song will be the ending theme song for the season’s final episode.
The song will be available on streaming services on April 3, 2022, at midnight. It will then be launched as TrySail’s 13th single on April 6, and appear on the sixth album Parfaitone from ClariS.
ClariS is a duo group (Clara and Karen) that has performed countless anime theme songs. The group is well known for their songs in Cells at Work!, Eromanga Sensei, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and Tsukimonogatari.
TrySail is a trio group (Momo Asakura, Sora Amamiya, and Shiina Natsukawa) known for their performance in SD Gundam World Heroes opening theme song.
They have performed in all of the side stories of Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
I’m actually nervous about how the franchise will wind up the series with four episodes in one two-hour special. It’ll either be a shabby production or some wacky animation.
Yet, I’m just hoping that this could be some spectacular animation treat by Shaft as they’re no strangers to doing two-hour specials.
