Episode 8 of Lycoris Recoil is titled “Another day, another dollar.” The episode starts with Yoshi explaining to his secretary Himegawa that the institute decides the future of those with special abilities. He then demands that she look after Chisato.

Lycoris Recoil discovered that their budget was being affected. Takina takes control of the finances to deal with the resulting financial losses.

She comes up with a fresh menu item, encourages Chisato to use fewer resources when on missions, and goes to charity events together. Chisato is unable to assist her with her medical check-ups because the cafe has become so popular and busy.

Takina takes care of everything, allowing Chisato to attend her medical check-up. When she does, Majima faces her at her home.

He recounts how he attempted to attack the Tokyo Tower and how she managed to stop him, demonstrating his paranormal hearing.
