Episode 9 Recap
Episode 9 of Lycoris Recoil is titled “What’s done is done”.
The episode begins with Takina rushing to find Chisato to prevent her operation.
Although Takina is able to drive Himegawa away, she has already discharged a high voltage into Chisato’s heart, rendering it incapable of being recharged and giving Chisato only two more months to live.
Takina is devastated by this, but Chisato carries on with her routine unfazed.
Chisato agrees to join Kusunoki in a raid on Majima’s lair, but only if Takina is given a second chance. Despite her talent, Chisato was diagnosed with a congenital heart condition ten years ago, and doctors only gave her six months to live. Kurumi has Mika reveal this information.
Chisato was given an artificial heart by Yoshi, who recognized her potential, on the condition that Mika raises her as their own daughter and makes sure she makes use of her aptitude for murder.
Chisato, on the other hand, viewed Yoshi as her “savior” and employed her skills for good. After hearing the tale, Takina and Mizuki concur that Majima is the best person to contact in order to find Yoshi.
In the meantime, Majima learns about Yoshi and devises a new strategy.
Takina was unsure of whether she should be happy or sad about the offer to rejoin the DA, but she ultimately decided to do so in to help Chisato. To that end, she makes plans for a day off work in order to be with her.
Before leaving after their date, she thanks Takina and presents her with her own scarf.
