Von Lycaon is an S-rank character and an ice-type STUN unit who is currently one of the best characters in Zenless Zone Zero due to his synergy with others. 

However, being a good character doesn’t mean everything is on a plate. So it is very important to build him properly to make the most of him. 

1. How to Build Lycaon in Zenless Zone Zero?

For a good Lycaon build, players need a good W-Engine and a 4-pc + 2-pc Drive Disc set with CRIT and ATK% as preferred stat. 

• Best W-Engine- The Restrained 
• Best Drive Discs- 4-pc Shockstar Disco and 2-pc Swing Jazz
• Best Teammates- Ellen Joe and Soukaku

Players can get Lycaon in Zenless Zone Zero from the Star-Studded Cast Banner or by losing 50/50 on an event character’s Banner.

You can also get him guaranteed after pulling 300 times on the permanent banner. So next time when you lose 50/50 don’t be upset because you have one of the best characters.

3. Brief Overview of Lycaon’s Kit 

Lycaon is a STUN character who depends on building Daze on enemies. To do so, he must be on the field for some time to build the Daze Meter. 

As for the combos, hold his basic attack to perform a charge attack and repeat the same to end the combo. This combo perfectly syncs with Lycaon’s kit, which builds more Daze on enemies. His normal and charged attack multipliers are quite good, so investing in other offensive stats like CRIT and ATK% won’t hurt. 

Make sure also to utilize Lycaon’s EX Special Attack or Assist Follow-Up frequently, as it reduces the target enemies’ Ice Resistance for 30 seconds upon a successful hit.

4. Best W-Engines for Lycaon 

The best W-Engine for Lycaon is his signature weapon, The Restrained. As Lycaon heavily relies on his Impact stat, The Restrained gives him an 18% boost to Impact and can increase his damage by up to 30% while also causing the Daze effect from his Basic Attacks, making it an ideal choice.

5. Best Drive Discs

The 4-piece Shockstar Disco set is recommended for Lycaon as it increases his Impact by 6% and allows him to inflict 20% more Daze when hitting enemies, especially with his Basic Attacks.

The 2-piece Swing Jazz set is also suggested as it enhances Lycaon’s Energy Regen, enabling him to perform more EX Special Attacks.

Equip him with the following main stat in the respective slot to deal more damage while inflicting Daze.

• Crit Rate or Crit DMG- 4th slot
• Ice DMG or ATK%- 5th slot
• Impact%- 6th slot

6. Best Teammates for Lycaon

Ellen (Main DPS) and Soukaku (Support) are Lycaon’s best teammates because of his immense potential to amplify the damage of any Ice team. 

This Ice team focuses on boosting Ellen’s damage. Lycaon decreases the opponent’s resistance to Ice damage and stuns them while inflicting substantial damage.

Soukaku provides an Ice damage buff for the whole team and increases the attack of teammates involved in the Chain Attacks she triggers. Together, these abilities buff Ellen to the point where she can obliterate any enemy.
