Episode 16 of Lupin III, part 6, titled “Samurai Collection,” is the latest installment of the anime. In this episode, we saw another side to Goemon, who is willing to defy even Lupin so that he could pay back someone who helped him.
The fashion designer, Gabby, saved him from drowning when he was training in the Arctic. She asks Goemon to become a model for her next fashion collection to return the favor.
Meanwhile, Fujiko and Lupin are planning to nab the collection for themselves. Despite being on the same side, Goemon stops Lupin and Fujiko from stealing the apparel.
Inspector Zenigata also sensed that Lupin would be at the new fashion show and sniffed him out. Will Lupin escape scratch-free from Zenigata’s clutches? We’ll find out in the next episode.
Episode 17 Speculation
In the next episode, we’ll meet Linfeng Wang, a genius engineer. She has claimed to have created the most powerful security system in the world. Lupin and his gang are bound to inspect this new invention and will probably find themselves in some kind of trouble.
Maybe Wang had asked Lupin to test it out herself, or perhaps it was another one of Lupin’s impulsive decisions. Either way, the next adventure is going to be really interesting.

Episode 16 Recap
Goemon trains in the harsh weather of the Arctic as Gabby, a celebrity fashion designer, notices him. He accidentally loses control and falls into the icy water, but luckily, Gabby saves him just in time. He thanks her and, as a token of gratitude and becomes a muse.
Gabby trains Goemon and two other new trainee models for an upcoming fashion show. Elsewhere, Lupin and Fujiko go through Gabby’s previous exhibition while having a romantic dinner.
During their conversation, Fujiko brings up Gabby’s new collection and tells Lupin that the only way to get one of her pieces is through an auction or the black market.
Lupin smirks, saying that stealing is another way, and rushes off to plan another robbery. Meanwhile, Goemon continues to train to be a model. His stoic posture and powerful samurai moves are a huge hurdle, and he doesn’t improve at first.
He asks Gabby for directions, and she says that he must practice walking down the runway a thousand times every day. Goemon takes this instruction to heart and starts following her advice religiously. One day, his body gives in, and he collapses to the ground, exhausted.
Gabby makes him rest for a bit, surprised that he actually followed her advice. After he recovers, Goemon heads out to the forest for his samurai training.
There, he realizes that his reflexes have become sharper, and his core has strengthened. He goes back and thanks Gabby for giving him a chance to be a model.
On the day of the show, Fujiko and Lupin arrive at the scene, intending to steal all the new collections. Zenigata and his junior are also there since Zenigata suspected Lupin to be present.
The show begins, and Goemon, along with other models, delivers solid performances and handles all his outfits perfectly. Suddenly, Lupin appears out of nowhere and tries to distract everyone through his outlandish behavior. Goemon doesn’t want him to ruin the show and tries to stop him.
Lupin sneakily ties all the new clothes to a rope that is attached to a flying pod. He then flees, but Goemon gets a hold of the rope and doesn’t let Lupin slip away.
Just then, another flying pod comes in and steals from all the models on the runway. This pod is being controlled by Fujiko, who’s there to help Lupin.
Goemon destroys both the pods, which leaves Lupin and Fujiko with no choice but to escape. Zenigata also follows the duo after the runway ruckus. Gabby thanks Goemon since this robbery-gone-wrong ignited a newly created flame inside her.
The next day as Goemon leaves for his training, Gabby gets ready to perform another fashion show.
