Episode 15 of Lupin III, part 6, titled “Wedding Bells Ring with the Sound of Gunfire,” is the latest installment of the anime.
This episode showed us a new side to Jigen. The seemingly stoic and cold-hearted man once had the chance to leave his life of crime behind and begin a new honest life.
This opportunity came to him in Mylene, a young and beautiful doctor who once tended to his injuries.
However, he left her behind and kept walking on his original path. His last encounter with Mylene ended almost as soon as it began when he found out that she was in danger.
A notorious criminal named Jackal had his eyes on Mylene since she was going to marry a wealthy noble, Count Fernand.
After saving her life, their romantic chapter came to a tragic end since it was evident that they still had deep feelings for each other but couldn’t be together.
Episode 16 Speculation
The next episode will be centered around Goemon as he becomes a muse for a famous designer named Gabby. Goemon had taken a backseat for the majority of this season, and it’s nice to finally have an entire episode dedicated to him.
Although it seems outrageously out of character for him to take up a fashion gig, there must be a good reason for him to do so.
Also, Lupin and the others’ reactions to this will be hilarious to watch. Is Goemon doing this for handsome pay, or does he need to return a favor to someone? We’ll find out in the next episode.

No, episode 16 of Lupin III part 6 is not on a break and will continue as scheduled.
Episode 15 Recap
The episode opens with Jigen sitting by a window, getting melancholic over the rain. Lupin makes fun of him and tries to cheer him up by reciting a haiku.
When it doesn’t work, he turns on the television, where a news reporter covers the announcement of Count Fernand Maistre’s marriage. He tells Jigen that their next target is the bride, who will receive a special jewel, the tear of Marseille as her wedding present.
After his explanation, Jigen asks Lupin to put the plan on hold for a while. He then visits a party held by the Count, celebrating his marriage.
The bride is a beautiful woman named Mylene Legrand, who works as a doctor in the 32nd quartier. Jigen watches over her as she introduces herself to the guests.
Count Fernand tells the guests how Mylene saved his life after an accident and how he instantly fell in love with her beauty and kindness. Jigen notices this and thinks how she hasn’t changed at all.
He then sees a suspicious man leering at Mylene and detects that he’s up to no good. Upon further inquiry, Lupin tells him that the man is the Jackal, a criminal known for kidnapping and holding hostages for ransom.
Furthermore, he’s an expert in the job and always covers up his tracks. His next target is the to-be wife of the Count, Mylene.
Lupin asks Jigen about his concerns and comments on how it’s clear that he has a history with the young doctor. Jigen neither confirms nor denies the claim but tells Lupin to stay out of his problem.
We then cut to the Jackal planning the kidnapping with his men. They’re kidnapping Mylene for the rare jewel. After discovering that Mylene’s life is in danger, Jigen follows her around, and we finally see how the two are related.
A long time ago, Mylene stumbled upon an injured Jigen and nursed him back to health. She admitted that she was scared of his pistol but cared for him because she sensed kindness in his eyes.
When Jigen asked her why she took him in, she told him that despite having killed people, she saw that his eyes still held kindness and believed that he wouldn’t hurt her.
The two fell in love, but their relationship was short-lived due to Jigen’s unstable life. Back in the present, Jigen is going to attend the wedding but sees that Fernand has run away from the church and hidden in the woods. He walks to him, asking if everything is okay.
Fernand tells Jigen that he was scared of marrying Mylene because she was such a compassionate person, and he was nothing in comparison. He believed that he wasn’t enough for her and wouldn’t keep her happy.
Jigen tells him that he had two options: to stay in the woods and escape the wedding or to go back to the woman he loves and be his best version for her.
Jigen’s words move Fernand, and he rushes back to the wedding hall as Jigen reminisces his past. His mind wanders back to when he had the same options as the Count but chose to leave Mylene.
The wedding begins, and the Jackal prepares to take Mylene hostage, but Jigen quickly pushes him to the side, fighting him in disguise. He’s able to eliminate the threat without making a scene, and the wedding proceeds peacefully.
After the wedding, Mylene meets up with Lupin, thanking him for bringing Jigen to her wedding. She gives him the jewel, the tear of Marseille, as a payment.
Lupin notices that she is still in love with Jigen but cannot act upon those feelings. She then bids him goodbye, knowing that this was the last time she saw Jigen.
Lupin then reunites with Jigen and gives him the tear of Marseille as memorabilia. It’s clear that Jigen, too, has feelings for Mylene but is happy because she was safely married to a good man.
He tosses away the jewel into a nearby stream, stating that tears were never his thing.
