Episode 13 of Lupin III, Part 6, titled “An Invitation From the Past,” is the latest installment of the anime.
This episode touched a more personal side of Lupin. In the beginning, we see Fujiko informing Lupin and Jigen about an auction for rare gems. All seems to go well until Lupin finds a jewel that was stolen from his grandfather years ago.
What’s more, the robber was none other than his mother. Also, there is a group of women who are behind this gem too. The leader knew something about Lupin’s past, so the mystery is even more intriguing.
Who exactly are these women, and how do they know about Lupin’s childhood? Keep watching to find out.

No, episode 14 of Lupin III Part 6 is not on a break and will continue as scheduled.
Episode 13 Recap
The episode opens with a shot of Lupin chasing a group of women who all look identical for some reason. The action is cut as we return to Lupin and Jigen having a meal together in an apartment in New York.
Jigen praises how he improved his cooking skills, and Lupin makes fun of him for having too much free time.
Fujiko interrupts their friendly banter as she arrives with a piece of exciting news. She tells them about an auction of some rare newly discovered treasures, which immediately catches Lupin’s attention because it seems like the perfect opportunity to pull him out of a boring slump.
As he scrolls through the various jewels being sold, a particular crimson gem irks him and causes him to act weird.
Turns out, it was a jewel that was stolen from his grandfather’s vault. Lupin remarks how the world’s greatest thief wouldn’t have much of a career if anyone stole from him.
He tells Jigen how the robbery happened when he was a kid and mentions that a certain woman was involved. He then gets to work on stealing the auction treasures and sets up an elaborate heist.
Lupin befriends a local florist girl named Mattea and uses her to sneak bug-sized drones into the auction house disguised as an old man. Using these drones, more disguises, and Jigen rigging the electricity, Lupin is finally ready to execute his plan.
Goemon returns, and with their gang of four, the plan starts coming together. However, another group of females has their eyes set on the treasure as well. These are the same women we saw at the beginning of the episode.
Just as it seems like Lupin’s plan has been smoothly executed, they barge in with machine guns and steal the treasure first. This takes us back to the chase from the beginning, where Lupin frustratedly runs behind this group.
During their fight, the red jewel falls into the hands of the enemy’s leader as Lupin misses the chance to catch it to save Mattea from the falling debris.
As the leader escapes, Lupin explains that it seems like she knows about his past and family history.
