Harem fans, assemble. Your long harem anime watchlist is about to be extended as Studio Passione’s latest series has just been announced. ‘Renai Flops’ (Love Flops) is an upcoming original anime that starts with simple fortune-telling but ends with five girls trying to claim a single guy.
If you are familiar with the genre, then you know that harem MCs are almost always a bunch of confused goody-two-shoes. While Asahi, the protagonist, seems to share the same characteristics, I hope he stands out from the rest.
Kadokawa’s original anime, Love Flops, will be released in October 2022. The series’ latest trailer starts with a confession scene where the ‘confused harem MC’ trope establishes itself.
The trailer begins with Asahi getting a love confession from Aoi, a new transfer student to his school. The only off thing is the piece of underwear he seems to be holding that definitely doesn’t belong to him.
As the trailer progresses, you will realize that five women have transferred to his school, all of whom are suspicious. Keeping the suspicions aside, the teaser is filled with lewd jokes and inappropriate scenes, which confirms its comic side.

Love Flops is not all about lewd comedy since there is some extent of mystery involved. Asahi’s day starts with a mundane fortune telling that soon starts becoming true, and the girls are a part of it. Can he solve this mystery before some horrible fortune ends up becoming a reality?
