The upcoming anime, Love All Play, turns the spotlight on badminton and claims it as the world’s fastest sport. It might be hard to believe, but the initial speed of the shuttlecock after the smash exceeds any other sport.
With a determined protagonist, the series reminds me of Free! or RE-MAIN. As it is an original anime, I am looking forward to every unexpected twist in the story.
The Love All Play anime will premiere in spring 2022. It has revealed a brand new trailer to show off the series’ protagonist.
Ryo Mizushima is the main character of the upcoming anime. His determination is shown in the latest trailer.
Although Ryo had a rough start with badminton, he proved his mettle with strength alone. So, now that he is in a prestigious high school, he knows just how to rejuvenate his love for the sport.
Natsuki Hanae will be voicing Ryo. You might know him from his previous works, as he has voiced Tokyo Ghoul’s Ken Kaneki, Tanjiro from Demon Slayer, and many more renowned characters.
If you are a badminton fan, you might have already guessed that the anime’s title is derived from the term “love all,” which refers to the starting score of the sport.
The staff members have already been revealed. Studio OLM is collaborating with Nippon Animation to produce this wonderful anime.
I hope that this series gives us a refreshing break from the typical sport anime tropes. Ryo and his struggle to play badminton will be beautifully animated, and I hope this anime becomes the next Free!.
