Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has a very special surprise for cinephiles and bibliophiles likewise. The greatest thing to ever exist: Lord of the Rings features in Valhalla in the form of easter eggs.
If you stumble upon the tiny town of Glowecestre when you make it to England, you will see houses covered with moss and very tiny doors. Inside one of the houses within this location lies a note.
The note reads “One of the little folk asked me to make the door smaller, as he wants to keep unruly houseguests from his house,”
It further says “After the nonsense with the druid last fall, I can see his point.”
Enthusiasts of Lord of the Rings will know that this piece of paper carries great significance. Words like “druid” and “little folk” are all references to Hobbiton, Hobbits, and Gandalf.
Another easter egg that players will come across in AC Valhalla is found underwater. Players will have to reach the depths of the sea where they will find a dead body. If you loot that deceased man, you will find a “Precious Arm-ring”
When our protagonist, Eivor gets his/her hands on the ring, the character says “A fine golden oath-hoop. One worthy of a king.”
It’s exactly stuff like this that makes Assassin’s Creed Valhalla such a great game. Some would even say that it’s the finest Assassin’s Creed out there!
Also, don’t get your hopes high. There is no such quest where you save humanity by taking the ring to Mordor. However, there is no shortage of activities in the game. Campaign aside, there are so many side quests to embark on your Viking Saga!
