5. Expected Plot
The storyline of theLookism anime is unknown at the time. We know it will adapt a portion of the original webtoon, but we have no clue how far it will go in that regard. What follows is a general description of the webtoon’s narrative, so you may get a sense of what to expect from the animated series, even if just on a broad level.
Daniel Park, also known as Park Hyung Suk, is an unpopular, obese, and unattractive high school student who is ridiculed and despised. Logan Lee constantly bullies and harasses him on a daily basis, and he frequently vents his rage verbally at his mother.
He transfers to Seoul and enrolls in a new high school, determined to escape his current troubles and start again.
However, one night while on vacation, he transforms into a tall, strong, and highly attractive man. He also understands that sleeping in one body causes him to wake up in the other and that no matter how long he has been awake, he always feels refreshed in the body he occupies.
His days are always split between his two bodies, his lovely body during the day and his original body at night.
As Daniel navigates his existence with two bodies, he realizes how often society discriminates against people merely because they are unattractive or different. Thus, the series is aptly titled “Lookism.”
