Owen Wilson, who plays Mobius M. Mobius in the series, recently teased his return to Loki Season 2 and revealed that the cast will reportedly begin filming for season 2 soon.
In a recent video for Wired, Wilson was asked if he is coming back for Season 2. Wilson assured fans that he would return as Mobius in the Disney+ series and also hinted that the cast will start filming for it soon.
Um… yes. He is coming back to Loki, and I think we’re going to begin filming that pretty soon. I had a great time working on Loki. I really enjoyed Tom Hiddleston and all the people on that show.

In season 1, Loki, Mobius and Sylvie joined hands to take down the Time Keepers only to realize that they’re not the real villains. Loki and Sylvie then found out that He Who Remains (a variant of Kang the Conqueror from the comics) is the actual culprit.
The guy gave the Loki and Sylvie a choice: either to take over his life’s work or to kill him and free the Sacred Timeline. Season 1 ended on an expected cliff-hanger but the post-credits had a surprise for us.
Amidst many other hints, the post-credits scene revealed a case file with “Loki will return in season 2” written on it. Marvel Studios or Disney+ have not made any official announcement for Loki Season 2. Fans have considered the post-credits to be the confirmation for a second season.
Apart from Wilson, Hiddleston, Wunmi Mosanko and Di Martino are also all set to make their comeback in season 2.
Rumors suggest Loki, Mobius and Sylvie will also make an appearance in the upcoming MCU film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Also, since various timelines have been introduced in the MCU, technically any Marvel character can also make a special appearance in Loki.
However, Kate Herron, the director of Loki will not be returning to direct season 2 as she earlier explained her decision of moving on from MCU films and shows for the time being.
Wilson did not confirm a particular date when he teased an ambiguous “very soon”, but the cast of Loki should begin shooting in the UK this summer. However, no official release date for Loki Season 2 has been announced yet.
