Locations of All Paintings in Elden Ring Shadow of Erdtree and their Rewards

Elden Ring’s Shadow of Erdtree has a vast amount of unique content for the players to explore. It is to the extent that it cannot be described as just any DLC. The Paintings scattered across the Shadow Realm are such.

There are three Paintings in the Shadow Realm. You have to find the Paintings and figure out the exact location in the landscape. You can then obtain rewards from the artist’s spirit.

1. Where are the Paintings located in Elden Ring?

The three Paintings are scattered across the Shadow Realm. The locations of the Paintings are-

1. The Incursion Painting can be found in the Gravesite Plain. Head south from Cliffside Terminus Site of Grace to see the artist’s shack.
2. The Sacred Tower Painting is near the Scorched Ruins waypoint. Statues point to the cave with the painting.
3.  The Domain of Dragons Painting can be found in the Specimen Storehouse’s underground room in the Shadow Keep.

2. Location of the Incursion Painting

For the first painting, we have the Incursion Painting. The painting is located in the Gravesite Plain region. You can see a map depicting the exact location of the Incursion painting in Elden Ring.

To get to the Incursion painting, go to the Main Gate Cross Site of Grace near the Belurat Tower Settlement. Afterward, look around and at the direction you have traveled in. There is a slim cliffside visible, you can head there to find a path. Ride along until you see the Cliffside Terminus Site of Grace.

Head in the southern direction from the Cliffside Terminus Site of Grace until you see an old shack. This is the Artist’s Shack, enter it and interact with the painting to obtain and store it.

2.1 Rewards of the Incursion Painting

Every painting has a unique obtainable reward for the player. To obtain this reward start by heading north from the Three-Path Cross Site of Grace until you see an archway. And then onto the rocky mountain near the archway.

3. Location of the Sacred Tower Painting

The Sacred Tower Painting is relatively easy to find, among the others. You might have encountered it already in your travels.

To obtain the Sacred Tower Painting, head to the Scorched Ruins Site of Grace. Then look towards the base of the plateau to your right. There will be a couple of statues pointing at a small cave where this painting is located.

3.1 Rewards of the Sacred Tower Painting

The reward for the Sacreed Tower Painting is the Spiraltree Seal. This seal has a Str E and Fai C rating. The equipment requirements are Str 8 and Fai 17.

In order to obtain the reward of the Sacred Tower Painting, head to the Rauh Base. From there proceed in the south-west direction. You will reach the Nameless Mausoleum, behind this Mausoleum, you can find the spirit of the Artist.

4. Location of the Domain of Dragons Painting

The Domain of Dragons location has been marked in the map above for your reference. You have to head to the Jagged Peak to obtain the Domain of Dragons painting. Proceed further into Shadow Keep until you arrive at the path that leads to the Specimen Storehouse.

Defeat the Tiny Knights and Fire Knight guards. Look to your left to see a ladder. Then descend the successive ladders to reach a tiny room. The Painting is located in that tiny room.

4.1 Rewards of the Domain of Dragons Painting

To obtain the reward for this painting, you need to head all the way to the top of the Jagged Peak. The Rock Heart is an item that turns your humanoid frame into a dragon’s. This is one of the two items that can do so. It will buff your Dragon Communion incantations and increase all of your resistances.

5. About Elden Ring

Elden Ring is a major title released by FromSoftware in 2022, the developers of Demon’s Souls, Bloodborne, and the Dark Souls franchise. Set in the ‘Lands Between’,  players are on a quest to repair the Elden Ring and become the new Elden Lord.

Shadow of the Erdtree is a full-fledged expansion for Elden Ring added in June 2024. It is a whole new map with new Weapons, Sorceries, Ashes, and Craftables. It is a challenging DLC and as players continue to explore the map, they find surprises and easter eggs left by the developers every day.
