GTA 6 is back in the headlines again. This time, there’s some good news for eager fans. So far, Rockstar Games has been mum about the upcoming title except for the blazing trailer launched last year. It hasn’t stopped fans from speculating about its release window.
Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at Rockstar Games, Georgio Jankowski, recently posted about job opportunities at the company. The post seems to insinuate that GTA 6 is indeed coming this year, talking about how 2025 is “shaping up to be one of the most exciting years ahead here at Rockstar”.
The post does strongly suggest that GTA 6 is well on track. However, the game was hit by rumors talking about a possible delay. Even though Rockstar Games is yet to announce an exact launch date, sources close to the studio revealed that they are targeting a Fall 2025 release.
Rockstar Games expects this year to be one of their biggest. It even went so far as to outline this in a previously shared memo to expect a little more than $7 billion in net bookings.
“At this time, the number is tracking a little above $7 billion for net bookings for the year and given the typical shifts and tweaks that occur in our forecasting process. And this amount is still huge growth over this year. And our pipeline is groundbreaking for next year and beyond, and our teams are making excellent progress on game development.”
Obviously, one would assume that GTA 6 would be the reason behind this crazy number. According to reports, it is expected to rack up a staggering $3 billion in sales solely in its first year.
Looks like GTA VI is just a few months away!
