Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was released in November last year. The collection included the titles: GTA 3, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas.
While the games remained as before, the developers using Unreal Engine only redesigned the outlook to suit the new gaming platforms. It was a nostalgic trip for players to relive the games everyone had spent so much time playing.
Recently, TeaserPlay dropped the concept trailer for the unofficial remake of Grand Theft Auto III using Unreal Engine 5.
The renowned Liberty City is recreated in the trailer, and the protagonist, Claude, is shown walking around different parts of the map. The maker used features such as Lumen to enhance lighting, performance and more.
The channel also released a video highlighting the major difference between the different editions of the game, i.e, the original version, the Definitive Edition, and the unofficial remake.
The game itself is not exactly on-point but given that it is fan-made, it is a masterpiece. For some scenes, the remake stands out even more so than the Definitive Edition one.
Some even commented that this trailer shows exactly how GTA III should have looked like.
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
