Anime no Tane is a learning hub for all the young artists who wish to get into animation. Not only does it train artists, but it is also backed up by Japan’s Agency of Cultural affairs and many production houses!
Ever since anime and manga started gaining popularity, there was a lack of animators according to the demand. This months-long extensive program called Anime no Tane acted as a savior for the situation.
Japanese Government’s Agency of Cultural Affairs announced the schedule for Anime no Tane 2021.
The first program has some major anime production houses on the list, and we have it all right here for you!
Of the three programs implemented in this project, four animation works produced by contract production organizations and studios in the “Technology Succession Program through Work Production” have been decided.

The effects of human resources development and production works will be announced at the in-house symposium scheduled to be held in March next year.

To explain simply, the project Anime no Tane is an event consisting of three programs, namely:
- Technology inheritance program through work production
- Technical improvement education program for workers
- Basic education program for animation industry applicants
These programs are spread over several months or a year. They help in grooming and training the young animators to get into actual anime production soon.
In the first program, animation production companies are invited, and they work on and create animation in real-time. This work is then also released for the public to see.
These programs have given us brilliant works like Little Witch Academia, Death Billiards, and Ongaku Shōjo.
