Who Are the New MCU Characters in Eternals End-Credits Scene?

If you thought that the ten Eternals were the only new MCU characters you were meeting in the movie, you were perhaps pleasantly surprised with certain new faces in the end-credits scene. These three characters are none other than Eros, Pip the Troll, and Black Knight.

Thanks to the internet, Harry Styles’ surprise appearance in the movie was ruined ahead of time. Still, we can savor his introduction as the charming Starfox/Eros. Pip the Troll, on the other hand, is entirely CGI and voiced by Patton Oswalt.

In the scene, Druig, Mekkari, and Thena are cruising across the galaxy in search of more Eternals. They hear a noise aboard their ship, the Domo, and that’s when a portal opens up, bringing in Pip, followed by Starfox.

Now both are interesting in their own rights. Starfox is also Thanos’ brother but has loathed him his whole life. It is left to see how this will play out since Thanos is dead in the MCU. Besides this, he tells the team on Domo that he already knows where to find the other Eternals. Do I smell a sequel?

With a mug of ale in hand, Pip too arrives in the fashion that is very telling of his “origin” story—after all, he was turned into a troll after drinking too much of their liquor. Pip also has the ability to teleport, which explains how he and Starfox landed aboard the Domo.

You may think that Pip only serves as Starfox’s envoy. But he is, in fact, tied to another newly introduced character: Will Poulter’s Adam Warlock!

We were all expecting Kit Harrington to have a deeper connection to the MCU than his supporting role of Dane Witman. And boy, were we right! The final post-credits scene reveals that Witman will be taking up the mantle of Black Knight.

The scene is quite ominous as Whitman is seen pacing up and down, utterly anxious about opening a box. Once unveiled, the box whispers in a strange manner and contains a sword with the words “Death is his reward” etched on it.

This sword is the Ebony Bland, and it is nothing but bad news. Although it has the power to cut through anything and deflect any magic, it corrupts its user, urging them to more bloodshed and violence.

If these new characters and end-credits predict anything, it’s that MCU fans are in for new stories, characters, and thrills in Phase 4!
