An image of Intel’s preproduction entry-level solution in the Arc graphic card lineup, Arc A310, has been posted online by Alexey “Unwinder” Nikolaychuk, and its sheer size might surprise you.
Intel Arc A310 is incredibly tiny as it’s half the size of MSI’s 34cm long RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM graphics card, meaning it lies in the same range as some GeForce GTX 1630 and Radeon RX 6400 cards. It packs an aluminum fin array over the GPU, VRMs, and VRAM and is cooled by two standard fans with 11 fan blades.
In the leaked image, the card can be seen next to the MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X graphics card, which is one mammoth card and easily one of the biggest cards on the shelves right now.
As for Intel Arc A310’s specs, the graphic card’s size reflects its performance capabilities and proves that the card is indeed competing for space in the entry-level segment.
Arc A310 will house the ACM-G11 CPU core and utilize 4 GB GDDR6 memory across a 64-bit bus interface. This is the first time where an Arc device features a low-profile design, as usually, the ACM-G11 cards from Intel feature a setup involving dual-slot structures with larger single or dual fans.
Now, coming to the core count, the upcoming card could either hang on to the Arc A350 series’ 96 EUs or move beneath with just 64 EUs enabled. All in all, each speculated specification of the GPU at hand points towards a slower performance. This could mean that even the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1630 could surpass it.
But at the same time, Intel Arc A350 is also likely to be priced below $100, making it an economically viable option for consumers who are on a budget.
