Other spoilers in the way of screenshots have been reportedly seen on Reddit, and they show a majorly-unseen area of the game that is supposed to be found organically by the player. On top of all this, several clips were published on YouTube that Bandai Namco has since taken down. The leaks will only worsen as we get closer to the final release date.
This is not the first time Elden Ring has suffered a significant information leak. A similar event happened back in December from dataminers gathering what information they could about the game from the network tests FromSoftware was conducting at the time. Anytime a big-name game is about to release, fans do everything they can to learn more about it, but this can ruin the experience for other players.
Fans won’t have to dodge and weave the spoilers for too long, as Elden Ring is set to release next Friday. Xbox users can already download the game onto their console, even without purchasing it, so they are all set for launch day. The game releases on February 25th.
